The studio JAR designs are always pushing the boundary of materials. This oversized ceramics lamp was hand crafted over several weeks to be shaped as an Ubur-Ubur – the Malay word for jelly fish. Completed with tentacle-like air plants called Spanish moss, this majestic lamp creates a divide between hard and soft materials.
The lamp is featured in the OOGST 2017 exhibition at SLAC Academie Beeldende Kunst Leuven from 12 September until 28 October 2017.
